She has successfully initiated and implemented programs, managed contracts, and led projects with a focus on quality improvement and financial management. Kathy’s dedication to professional development is evident through her extensive list of certifications and achievements. She holds registration as a physiotherapist since 2002 and continues to pursue further education, including a Diploma of Business and Management and specialized courses in clinical Pilates, gerontology, dementia care, and manual therapy. She is currently training in the Watson methodology for headache treatment and management. Carol Falconi KriebelSenior Physiotherapist - Gold Coast Sports and SpinalCarol graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2015 and following her graduation she completed her specialisation in orthopedics and traumatology in 2018. She has spent her careers working in a variety of settings mainly in private practice and. She was involved in the physiotherapy team at the Brazilian Air Force Hospital and was also the Head of Orthopedics and Musculoskeletal physio at a prestigious private hospital in Sao Paulo. Carol has extensive experience in all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy in private practice and has treated many professional and amateur athletes in a variety of sports. In the last three years before moving to Australia Carol was running a successful musculoskeletal private practice providing high quality services to patients of all ages and backgrounds. She has a passion for helping people achieve their goals in a holistic manner. Carol in continually improving her professional skills and has completed post graduate courses in manual therapy, dry needling, running analysis and chronic pain management. Abby MenziesSenior Physiotherapist - Gold Coast Sports and SpinalAbby recently joined the Gold Coast Sports & Spinal Physio team in 2024. Originally from Canada, she earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology and Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. Since graduating, Abby has worked exclusively in private practice settings. In Canada she acquired certifications in biomedical dry needling, including training for areas such as the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, temporomandibular region, hands, feet and other various parts of the body. Additionally, she obtained certifications in cervical and thoracic spine manipulation and has undergone additional comprehensive manual therapy training. Abby has also pursued various forms of education in powerlifting and strength training. In her career Abby has worked with a diverse range of patients including professional hockey players, elite athletes, weekend warriors and the general population. Additionally at the University of Alberta she assisted in training students in manual therapy techniques. Abby's treatment style involves a holistic evaluation and assessment, ensuring personalised care for each patient. She employs a hands-on approach utilising techniques such as joint mobilisations and/or manipulations, dry needling, soft tissue release and exercise prescription. She enjoys addressing various issues including neck and back pain, tendinopathies and acute or longstanding injuries. Devon EdmundsPhysiotherapist - Gold Coast Sports and SpinalDevon joined Gold Coast Sports & Spinal Physio in 2023 having relocated from Canada in 2019. He completed his undergraduate at the University of Alberta before attending The University of Queensland for his Master’s in Physiotherapy Studies. Since graduating he has worked exclusively in private practice and has attained certification as an ASCA Level 1 Strength & Conditioning coach. He has also completed additional training in the assessment and treatment of dizzy patients (Vertigo). While Devon has a vast experience with a wide variety of conditions, he has a special interest in low back pain, neck pain and sports injuries. Devon’s approach combines hands on therapy, soft tissue massage, therapeutic dry needling and exercise for long term rehabilitation tailored to each patient.
